I believe there is a huge issue at hand in America right now. This issue I am speaking of is
the government. I do believe in the original purpose of government but
when do we as Americans draw the line? It is hard to just sit back and
watch everything I founding fathers worked for get tossed into the fire.
I am a proud American and I love what America stands for. Freedom and
the chance to strive for better. I just wish America as a whole could
stop the constant bickering, especially in Washington D.C. and just work
together to help get the United States out of this hole that our greedy
politicians have dug us into.
Gun control is a huge
topic right now. President Obama is really pushing for America to ban
rifles. After the Sandy Hook school shooting happened it made it easy
for many to simply say, " Okay time to get rid of the guns." That is
simply not the answer though. Yes crimes have been committed with guns
in America, but that is not news. When the government takes away
America's guns then they will have the control we will have no possible
chance to defend ourselves. They would bully us into what ever they feel
is the right direction for our country. For all we know that could be a
near future of Communism. The sad truth is that everyone has stopped
caring, the "baby boomer" generation has left my generation in the worst
economic crisis since the Great Depression.
I guess
my point of all of this bickering of my own is that people have
forgotten that our voices do matter. If we stand up and make our voices
heard sooner or later they will have to listen. We as a nation can stand
up and push our beloved country in the right direction. UNITED WE
STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!
